Dr. De Vida Gill has created a unique system, integrating the arts, mental health, and education to help creatives, creative thinkers, and thought leaders unmask their potential and embrace their authenticity to manage their lifestyles without compromising themselves. As a Transformational Life Coach, Creative Strategist, Educator, Author, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, and Consultant, Dr. Gill has worked with groups from youth to adults to develop programs to help manage challenging roadblocks and busy lifestyles, addressing 10 Core Life Areas within 4 Quadrants of Focus.
Much of the systems she created resulted from the challenges she faced. The first challenge was determining how she would simultaneously be at work by 8 am and her daughters at school. The second challenge was that her daughters attended school in two different counties four hours away from each other (roundtrip). Dr. Gill knew it wasn't about the 'HOW but rather the 'WHY.'" She refused to accept others projecting their unsolicited thoughts and limiting beliefs on her. Their negative thoughts were not her business or her story. She followed her own path by leaning into her emotions and remembering what her parents had instilled in her since childhood, "Can't is NOT in my vocabulary!"
She created a proven system (by integrating her background in the arts, mental health, and education) with techniques and skills to assess the situation, explore her options, process her emotions, manage her mindset, and create a roadmap to unmasking her potential and embracing her authenticity so that she could manage her lifestyle without compromising herself. Dr. Gill continuously experimented, practiced, and modified her strategic system to help her decide what was best for her and her family on her terms. She uses and teaches the same system, techniques, and strategies to others.
Dr. De Vida Gill has over 25 years of personal, professional, and program development experience and training working with nonprofits, for-profits, schools, communities, and government entities. With a background in the arts (performing and literary), mental health, and education, Dr. Gill integrates the three fields of study into her daily work: teaching, writing, creating, developing programs, facilitating training, or working with clients. Her passion is to help creatives and out-of-the-box thinkers enrich their lives, embrace their uniqueness/authenticity, and unmask their potential through integrating the arts, mental health, and education.
Dr. Gill is a Certified Transformational Coach, Creative Strategist, Educator, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Speaker, Author, Consultant, and Trainer for adults and teens. She holds a Ph.D. and Ed.D from Pepperdine University and an MSW from the University of Southern California.
